Our Community
There are some amazing elements of our story. Many of the things that we did in the beginning became part of our DNA and part of our life together.
Belonging House began praying in tongues together for fifteen minutes in Akron, Ohio. We celebrated holy communion together daily. We sat and listened to God together. We ate together. And all of this happened before we “formed” an organization.
Relationship Based Community
The God of the Bible is the Most Relational Being in the Universe. Belonging House International puts a high value on healthy, loving relationships. This causes tension for people who are used to American church culture that emphasizes growth, performance, and some kind of doctrinal or institutional loyalty. Anyone who wants to be a disciple, and who is an artist or loves one, can be in our community, and we want you to feel welcome.
Prayer Based Community
Since 2006 we have followed the model of George Muller, who did not raise money, but rather prayed about everything. We are a group of little fires all over the earth. We pray together daily for fifteen minutes in tongues (we have several who do not speak in tongues who attend every day). We have a committed group of people who pray daily, and a dedicated prayer team that meets weekly.
Being a professional artist requires real faith, and our life of prayer is a testimony that God can be trusted.
Our way of praying is found in the book, “The Simple Secret to Answered Prayer.”
Online and Media Community
Most of our community life is done online. The majority of our meetings are on Zoom.
We also have a vibrant Might Network community. We invite everyone who has made the Belonging House Commitment to join the Mighty Network. Our Sunday gathering, Beth Charashim meets on Zoom at 6pm UK time/1 pm ET. Our daily prayer meeting is at 12pm UK time, 7am ET.
We also have in person events throughout the year in the UK and the US. These are announced in the Friday Email and on Mighty Network.
